Privacy Policy

What happens to the data that reaches us through this website, and what you can ask of us.

Last updated

entertoly takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This page describes which data we process on entertoly.com, for which purposes and which rights the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you. It applies to everyone who visits the website and to people who contact us by email or through the contact form.

Who is responsible

Responsibility for the information collected on entertoly.com lies with entertoly, 14 Framwellgate Quay, Durham DH1 5AQ, United Kingdom. Whoever has a question about this notice, or about data we may hold, can write to [email protected] or call 0191 384 2716.

Why we process data

We use data to keep this website online and safe, to reply to the messages we receive, to prepare and carry out agreements with clients and to keep the records our business requires.

Each use of data has a ground of its own: your consent, a contract or the talks that lead to it, an obligation we have to meet, or our legitimate interest in running this site securely. You are free not to give us details, but without them an answer may not be possible.

Cookies and browser storage

This website keeps stored entries to a minimum. It does not use advertising cookies, it does not follow visitors across other sites, and an answer you give to a cookie notice stays in your own browser.

Stored entries can be reviewed and deleted at any time in the settings of your browser, where you can also block them for the future. Blocking everything may affect the parts of the site that depend on such entries.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as the purpose it was collected for requires, or longer where record-keeping duties apply. After that it is deleted or changed so that it no longer points to a person.

Server logs are removed by our hosting provider after a short period. Messages stay with us while the matter is open and for some time afterwards, in case you return to the same question.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time which data we store about you, request its correction or deletion, have the processing restricted, object to it or receive a copy in a common electronic format. Consent that you have given may be withdrawn at any time; the withdrawal applies from then on.

You can use your rights by writing to [email protected]. Before we answer, we may ask for a detail that confirms your identity, so that data is not disclosed to the wrong person; the answer follows within the period the law provides and costs you nothing.

If you believe that we handle your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), in addition to any other remedy.

Data we collect

Every page request is recorded on the server together with the address of the requesting device, the time, the file opened and the browser used. This information is needed to deliver the page and to detect faults or misuse.

When you send us a message, we keep what you give us, such as your name, the address for our reply, a telephone number if you add one and the text itself, for as long as the matter you wrote about is being dealt with.

Third parties and transfers

We do not sell personal data. It is shared only with the providers who host this website and handle our email, acting on our instructions under a data processing agreement, and with authorities where the law obliges us.

Some of the providers we work with may keep or process data in another country. When that happens, the transfer takes place only with the safeguards that the rules on data protection require for it.

Updates

This policy is revised when our processing or the applicable rules change. The current text is always available here, and the date at the top of the page shows when it was last amended.

We do not announce every amendment separately, so it is worth checking this page from time to time. Where a change concerns processing that rests on your consent, we ask for that consent again before it takes effect.
